Boss's Phase Shifter provides you with a varied range of vintage and modern phaser effects, including Rise and Fall modes for a unique, unidirectional phaser. The PH-3 is also capable of delivering classic multi-stage phasers with selectable ranges, however. Synchronising the effect is easy - just press the pedal repeatedly, and an optional expression pedal can be used to control Rate, Filter and Tempo parameters in real-time.

Sound characteristics of the PH-3

The PH-3 is equipped with four simple controls. A Rate knob determines the speed of the filter changes, while a Depth knob controls the effect level. The effect resonance is controlled by a Res knob, and a Stage knob allows you to select a phaser type. You can choose between 4, 8, 10 or 12-stage phasers and Fall, Rise and Step phase types.
