About Michael Batio

Michael Batio, or MAB, is an American heavy metal guitarist from Chicago and was also the lead guitarist for the glam metal band Nitro in the 80s and 90s. Batio is well known for his heavy metal, his technical mastery of the fingerboard and his extremely fast picking and sweep picked arpeggios. Batio played double and quad guitars, using both hands to play. He was voted ‘the number one fastest guitar shredder of all time’ in 2003, which is shown in the design of his signature guitars.
