In 1997, Fender USA introduced an upgraded series of American Standard Stratocasters, comprising the “Lone Star,” “Big Apple,” and “Roadhouse” models. This Roadhouse Stratocaster features three overwound Texas Special single-coil pickups in the classic Stratocaster SSS configuration, complemented by a tortoiseshell pickguard, maple neck with double string trees, and a classic white finish.

These “hot-rodded” Stratocasters had a relatively short production run, manufactured from 1997 to 2000, before being replaced by the more widely available “Texas Special” series.
