With a little distortion, you'll have that vintage rockabilly sound - that's as warm and full-bodied as you'd expect from a Gretsch. Explore the variety of soundscape this guitar can form - it's remarkable.

Tonewoods

Expertly crafted from some of the finest tonewoods the world has to offer, to produce sound that is unlike any other instrument. The vintage tones reverberate inside the hollow maple body, producing an echo chamber of resonance before radiating out of your amp. The warm, well defined tones that are produced by the maple body is what makes this instrument so special.

Unique hardware

Decorated with a USA Bigsby Tailpiece, it's the centerpiece at the heart of the Gretsch Electromatic. It allows you to bend, warp, and distort notes back to the 1950's. Experiment with new playing styles and add some nuance to your sound - you'll have plenty of fun doing it. Aesthetically, the tailpiece is one of many definitive features that are instantly recogniseable - it's what gives it that inspired vintage feel.

Pure playability

A modern classic masterfully designed to fit comfortably in the palm of your hands. The unique 'U' shaped maple neck provides you the perfect amount of grip so you'll be able to glide from chord to chord, free of any aches and pains.

Gretsch's long lasting legacy

It all began in 1883 in Brooklyn New York by a young German immigrant, Friedrich Gretsch who produced the first Gretsch electric guitar, the Electromatic in 1939. Used by some of the most legendary guitarists such as Neil Young, who regularly used it during his Buffalo Springfield days. Johnny Cash's lead guitarist, Chet Atkins swore by this guitar. Using it to invent the 'boom-chicka-boom' style of playing, which it quickly became the definite sound of the 1950's.
