TSAC-4K preamp and power amp modelling
The Solid Studio MKII uses NUX’s TSAC-4K white-box modelling algorithm to independently simulate preamp and power amp stages, rather than relying on static profiles. This approach accurately recreates valve amp dynamics, including negative feedback response and natural interaction between stages. The result is a playing experience that feels immediate and expressive, responding naturally to picking dynamics, volume changes and pedal input without unnatural compression.
Stereo CYBER IR engine with detailed control
CYBER IR™ technology provides true stereo impulse response reproduction at dual 1024-sample resolution, delivering detailed cabinet and microphone realism with minimal latency. Users can adjust microphone type, position and distance directly within the unit, allowing fine control over feel and tone without external software. Independent left and right IR slots support stereo rigs and dual signal paths, making the Solid Studio MKII suitable for complex setups.
Pedal-friendly platform for amp-less rigs
With a wide 110dB dynamic range and generous headroom, the Solid Studio MKII is designed to work naturally with overdrive, distortion and compression pedals. The TSAC-4K algorithm avoids artificial limiting, allowing pedals to interact with the simulated power stage in a familiar way. Normal and Inject input modes allow flexible signal routing, including parallel power amp integration with external amplifiers.
Flexible routing, effects and ambience
Signal blocks including AMP, IR, EQ and ambience effects can be freely reordered, allowing the Solid Studio MKII to adapt to a wide range of workflows. Eight onboard ambience effects, including spring, plate and hall reverbs, along with multiple delay types, provide depth and space without the need for additional pedals. Global EQ, noise gate and level controls ensure consistent performance across different environments.
Recording, monitoring and connectivity
The Solid Studio MKII functions as a USB audio interface, supporting direct recording, re-amping and simultaneous dry and processed signal capture. Balanced stereo outputs with ground lift connect directly to PA systems or mixers, while a headphone output and auxiliary input make it ideal for silent practice. USB-C MIDI support, editor software integration and firmware updates ensure long-term flexibility and expandability.
